Welcome Team

 “I was a stranger and you welcomed me”  Matthew 25:35

Welcoming others is very important to the life and ministry of Central! Serving on one of our Sunday Morning Welcome Teams offers a great way to welcome and connect with others, especially newcomers. It truly is a dynamic expression of the inclusiveness of God’s love for all. For many it is a natural first step in serving and an easy way to enter into the life of the Central community. Volunteers typically serve once or twice a month depending on the volunteer position.

GREETERS

The primary role of the Greeter is to project Central’s friendliness to all who enter our campus. You are the first touch to our regular attenders and newcomers as you open the door for each person and greet them. Since first impressions are so critical, the Greeters are vital to Sundays at Central. Being a Greeter is a wonderful way to serve, get to know the Central church family, and help everyone who comes to our church feel God’s love among us.

The requirements for being a greeter are simple and few—a desire to serve, the ability to smile and say “hello,” and a time commitment of around six Sundays a year.

WELCOME CENTER 

The primary role of the person who serves in the Welcome Center is to greet guests, answer questions, provide information about our church, distribute gift bags, encourage guests to fill out the Connect Card, walk guests to their destination on campus, engage guests in conversation, and make guests feel welcomed. A rotating schedule is set so that the commitment is about once a month.

USHERS

The primary role of the Usher is to greet people as they enter the worship service, hand out bulletins, help locate appropriate seating, and assist with the collection of the offering on Sundays. Ushers also help with special events and sometimes help in the parking lot.
