Debbie Maurer, Director of women's Ministry

Passionate about ministering to women of all ages, Debbie Maurer was thrilled and excited when God called her to serve as Director of Central’s Women’s Ministry in 2014. With the help of a team of 12 ladies, she oversees Sunday morning women’s Sunday school classes, weekly AM and PM Bible studies, special events and retreats, workshops, community outreach and missions, mentoring, and discipling opportunities, healthy living classes, and the women’s library, which offers a wide variety of Christian books. Matthew 5:16 serves as our theme, and Debbie’s passion is to help women SHINE for Christ in whatever stage of life they are in. Debbie and her husband, John, have been married since 1970, and they have 2 children and 8 grandchildren. Central has been her home since 1995.

Jennifer Hawley, Women's Ministry Assistant

Jennifer was born in Canada and her family immigrated to the United States when she was a teenager, settling in North Carolina. In 2004, she married Glenn. They became parents in 2007 when the Lord blessed them with their first son, Nathaniel. A second blessing, son Micah, quickly followed in 2008. After relocating for Glenn’s job several times, the Hawley family arrived in College Station in 2013. Jennifer is thrilled to have been serving at Central since 2015 as John & Debbie Maurer’s ministry assistant.
