What is Wiffle Ball?
- Wiffle Ball is a variation of the sport of baseball designed for indoor play in confined areas. The game is played using a perforated plastic ball, a pitching machine, and an official Moonshot bat.
How much activity is there?
- The only movement that takes place will be in the field. There is no base running. Players will have to throw the ball at a 5X6 ft first base to determine if the batter is out or safe.
Do I need to provide any equipment?
- Central will provide all of the equipment. Bring tennis shoes and athletic apparel.
How do teams work?
- Teams will consist of 5-8 players. Only 5 will be in the field at a time, but teams may rotate players in the field. All 8 players can be in the batting lineup with no rotation required.
When is the season?
- March 2nd & 3rd will be an exhibition week. The season will be March 16th & 17th – April 27th & 28th (Depending on what night your team plays) Refer to the General Information page for updates about scheduling.
How much does it cost?

Do I have to play at every game?
- A player does not have to play every game, but will be expected to pay for an entire season.
What is going to happen at the exhibition?
- The exhibition will be a time for those who have never played to get the chance to hit from our pitching machine, throw at first base, and decide if this is something that they would like to participate in. The rules will be explained and we will run a few games so players can see how the game will work. There is no charge to come play during the exhibition.
