Matthew 5: 14 & 16: “You are the light of the world………Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in Heaven.”    A Christian leader is to light the path for others to follow as he leads them with traits that confirm his character and destiny.  I have often been asked about the important leadership traits demonstrated by effective and respected leaders.  The list that will follow have come from study, personal experience and remembering our verses today commanding us to lead as a light for others to follow.  The list is as follows and is certainly all inclusive, but pertinent as you lead:

Think of these twelve traits in your own life, leadership and Christian in the five areas of life in which you walk each day:  personal, family, work, church and community.  Are you leading with the light of Christ to give glory to your Father in Heaven through the traits listed above?  As a Christian, you are one light of the world.
