LEADERS MAKE A DIFFERENCE

By Dean Gage

Esther 4:14: “If you remain completely silent at this time, you and your father’s house will perish.  Yet who knows whether you have come to the Kingdom for such a time as this?”  Have you given thought that you are living at this time to impact and make a difference in other people’s lives.  We need to accept the fact that one person can make a difference in the course of history of our families, our work, our church and even the world around us.  Esther made a difference in the whole history of Israel by answering the question, “Who knows whether you have come to the Kingdom for such a time as this?”  She made the difference and was the link that preserved the Jewish nation.  You are to be that person and leader for your family and God has placed you in this world and family setting for such a time as this.  We must look at our position in this light and take action or we run the risk that our house and those who live in will perish.

We often overlook the very fact that God wants to use us to significantly impact and lead those whom He has placed in our care.  We think too small when the responsibility is so huge and important.  It is priority and we must be obedient just as Esther was to the call on her life. The impact and difference may well be eternal and we must embrace it in this light.  One thing is certain, you have come to the Kingdom and life here on earth for such a time as this.  Will you be brave, courageous, responsible and obedient to follow the example of Esther to do what God has called you to do?  Yes, one person can make a difference.  Will you be that one?
