LEADERS LIVE WITH PURPOSE

By Dean Gage

LEADERS LIVE WITH PURPOSE:  Genesis 1:26 “And God said, let us make man in our own image.”     God has made it clear in His Word exactly what His purpose is for each of us.  From the beginning, our purpose is to be like Him, but Adam did not follow this purpose and chose his own purpose.  Man’s natural birth since that fateful fall has worked against God’s purpose.  It takes a second birth, a spiritual birth, in Jesus Christ for man to live out God’s purpose.  This is how God now carries out His original purpose in man.  He wants to make us in the image of His Son.  Christ must be our life and our purpose and we must not fail like the first man, Adam.

Have you ever thought of the power of living a life of purpose to those in your family?  If they see you living a life of purpose for Christ, they will be impacted on its priority and meaning.  Hopefully, this will help them to live a life of purpose for Him.  Each one of us has a responsibility to know and live out God’s purpose before others.  If we don’t live with a purpose, what chance will those whom we lead find a purpose in life?  Or, how many people find a false and deadly purpose in life as we see in our culture today?  Everyone is searching for a purpose in life and only those who find Jesus Christ find a purpose with meaning and an eternal reward.  All others are a dead end and have no beginning and no ending.  Our purpose begins and ends with Jesus Christ, period.
