God Is Looking for Leaders

By Dean Gage

II Chronicles 16:9 "The eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His." God's Word has hundreds of commands and promises linked together because this is the way God wants to work in our lives. Obedience to Him is always rewarded in His own timing and ways that we often do not understand. God is looking for men who will step forward to give their hearts completely to Him and become strong active leaders in His kingdom. The word completely does not mean partially.  It means what it says: completely. Too many men today want to live with one foot in God's kingdom and one foot in the world. That is like having one foot on solid rock and one foot in sinking sand. We cannot have the best of both worlds. The enemy's goal is to pull the foot off the rock with the foot in sinking sand. We must put both feet on the solid rock of Jesus Christ and not take a step toward the sinking sand.

We read in Deuteronomy 10:12 "What does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, to love Him, to serve the Lord your God with all of your heart and with all your soul, and to observe the Lord's commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good."  Here we are asked by the Lord to reverence God, walk in His ways, love Him and serve Him with ALL our heart and soul and observe His Word.  Why?  The answer is given at the end of the verse: "for your own good."  A man's spiritual leadership depends on his obedience to these Scriptures.  WE have the promises that God will strongly support us and look out for our own good.  God is looking for you to be that man.
