Since the church unanimously voted on Wednesday, October 8, to move forward with the schematic design and capital campaign for the new Preschool and Children’s Building, a lot of work has begun.  First, the Capital Campaign is completing the selection of team leaders and members.  This will involve many of the church membership and the campaign will be completed by mid-May 2015.  There is to be a Leadership Training Luncheon and Meetings on Sunday, November 16, 2014, with Lamar Slay, our consultant from Partners in Church Consulting.  The campaign will consists of multiple media presentations, dessert group meetings, church-wide presentations and a prayer day at the church.  Every church member will be given an opportunity to participate and respond to what God calls them to do.  Clay Riebe and Bruce Boyd are leading this important committee and will be contacting many of you to serve and help in this short term effort to see what God is going to provide.

We have met several times with the architect and builder to validate and refine the scope or program of requirements for the new facilities and to look at the renovation of vacated space.  This work has been through several of many phases and the architect will now complete what is termed “blocking” to lay out the overall schematic building plan.  The architect and builder will be looking at efficiencies to control square footages and costs.  This process will involve many steps with the Building Committee and Staff and take a few weeks to complete.  Video models will be shared with the church in the next few weeks to show the location and preliminary schematic design.

The church family is asked to pray for two things at this time:  1)  That God will provide all the money needed for this expansion and for the Capital Campaign as it honors God in the process and 2)  That the schematic design and program of requirements will be completed to look toward the future to meet the ministry growth that God has and will be provide.
