People ask, “Why do we need a new Children’s Building?”  The answer is very simple.  “Everything alive is still growing.”  If ever a quote describes Central Baptist Church today, this is it.  We have grown some 2,000 members since relocation and expansion in 2003.  Our church budget has more than doubled allowing us to do more.  When we relocated, God led us to this site so that we would be in a Central location in the B/CS area.  We prayed that our ministries would reach families for Christ in one of the most rapidly growing areas in Texas.  Both Bryan and College Station are growing at an unbelievable rate.  The population of College Station went over 102,000 in January 2015 and Bryan is projecting at least a 1½% annual growth.  With our second expansion of the Family Life Center in 2009, our outreach to the whole B/CS community and its families became even greater.  This spiritual impact has resulted in overwhelming growth of families and blessings from God as our ministries have grown beyond expectations.  When most of us grew up, our parents took us to church.  We are now seeing a reversal and a current statement come true:  “Today, children take parents to church.”  We have reached the over saturation point of our preschool and children facilities with the overcrowding now impacting our ability to meet current needs and to provide for new families and children.  The new Children’s Building is our next step in our master plan. It will allow us to do what God has called us to do.  The new building will be like no other children’s facility in the B/CS area.  It will clearly be a place where we can REACH “Reaching Families’ Hearts.” for Christ, not only on Sundays, but each day of the week.  This expansion is not ours; it is God’s.  We cannot do it, but He can if we are willing to again step out in faith, take Him at His Word, be obedient and give.  Central is still growing because she is alive in Him.  You will soon be hearing much more as the architect and builder progress through the planning process.  We must be faithful to pray for God to provide every dollar needed and to seek what He would have your family give for the next three years.
