Building Expansion

Update - March 23, 2015

By Dean Gage

The schematic design by the architect and contractor working closely with staff and the Building Committee has been completed. With the graphic renderings now available from this work, the brochure describing the whole project, cost and fundraising campaign is being completed and sent to the printer this week. The brochure and the Family Devotion Guides will be distributed to the whole church family on Kickoff Sunday, April 12, 2015. All church members will next be invited to attend a Vision Dessert meeting with Pastor Chris starting on April 13 and running through May 14. At these events, he will share his vision for our church and why this expansion is so important to our future, God’s kingdom and your family. You will receive an invitation to attend one of these important sessions in a member’s home or at the church on Sunday, May 3, 2015. There are many other crucial dates and events for the whole church including a church prayer time on Sunday, April 19, personal Family Decision Night on May 14, Commitment and Cash Offerings Sundays on May 17 and 24 and Celebration Sunday on May 31. After completion of all these times of spiritual focus on the expansion and our personal lives, the church will make decisions on the timing and next steps of the expansion.

The whole expansion project is a spiritual witness of God’s blessings on our church and our members and families. We are out of room for many of our ministries, especially preschool and children. Facilities are only a resource to provide space for God to do His work to REACH families for Christ. It is a challenge and opportunity which only God can make happen through us, His people.

Psalm 145: 4 “Let each generation tell its children of Your mighty works.”
