Work on many fronts is rapidly taking place on the planning for the new Children’s Building, renovation of the vacated space for other ministries and the REACH Capital Fundraising Campaign. On the construction planning side, core soil samples have been taken and are being processed. A civil engineering firm is working on site preparation requirements. We have a Pre-Development meeting scheduled on February 23, 2015, with the City of Bryan to discuss our planned new building, parking and traffic flow. The schematic design of the new building has been completed and sent to the contractor for pricing. We hope to have this information in the very near future so that we can set the goal of the fundraising campaign. The Communications Team has a draft of the brochure to be provided all Central members and attendees which will share the ministry vision of Pastor Chris and Central. It will be used in the capital campaign to also provide answers to questions about this overdue and greatly needed expansion to serve our growing numbers of families and children. We are also awaiting new graphics from the architect for the brochure. These will also be used on Sunday mornings to show the Central family this exciting new building and ministry. We have an architect working with Central staff on the renovation plans of the vacated space. The vacated Children’s space will be assigned to the Youth Ministry. The vacated Preschool space will be assigned to Special Needs, Adult Education and Senior Adults. These renovations will be minimal and can be achieved for a small amount of money.
Be in prayer for God to supply every needed dollar and for what part He wants to provide through your family. You will soon be hearing more about the REACH Vision Desserts where Pastor Chris will share his heart and vision and where you can learn more about what God is doing.

Found a blog recently and read the young woman's story. She admits to running away from God. What brought her and her husband back into a church family was a request from her mother-in-law regarding her children. It reminded me of a comment I had heard from a CBC member who said research is showing a family's children are what is bringing many young families to church. This young lady's story helped open my eyes to the reality of how needed this children's building is for our church's outreach in our community.
